Tldr Ainz is paranoid as fuck, a World Item was used against Nazarick and from then on he thinks that a similar situation can happen again from any outside action they take. As a whole, the entire power of Nazarick hasn't been shown due to this. This means each Floor Guardian limits their activities around this cycling system and also keeps a low profile where they otherwise would take overt action in various ways that would draw a lot of attention to a lot of powerful beings.Īinz' paranoid nature has also rubbed off on the Floor Guardians to the point where they don't randomly commit mass murder or show grand displays of power. This includes the Floor Guardians who exit Nazarick to always have a World Item on them, several retreat strategies and a system where so many Floor Guardians have to remain within Nazarick. So in true Ainz fashion, he over thinks to the point that Nazarick needs to be wary of threats that could end them with every action they take outside of Nazarick. Couple this with level appropriate mobs in Yggdrasil being a challenge and you see how this still affects him. One of those is the carry over from Yggdrasil that a level 100 Player wasn't unbeatable and -any- Player had a hard time in one vs many situations.Įven Touch Me's limit was around vs 3 other level 100 players at once, which meant likely everyone else in Yggdrasil could only handle less. Keep in mind Ainz still has all his biases from before being Isekai'd. The world went from being weak to now having a possible threat and he had all of Nazarick become wary that it could happen again even if the Floor Guardians were dubious at first that anything could threaten them. The incident involving Shalltear poured gasoline into this way of thinking for him and influenced the way he acts in the New World from then on. He Gates in and Grasp Heart the first enemy he sees he planned to retreat if it failed. In fact, during his first steps into the New World at the attack of Carne Village, you see this over thinking aspect kick in. He wants to explore the world, he's in love with the idea of being an adventurer thus the Momon persona and later the entire revamping of the Adventurer's guild. Part of it, and really the underlying reason for the entire story in the New World, is Ainz over thinks the living shit out of everything.
